What to Wear Running & Where You NEED to Get Your Sneakers From

With fall knocking on our door this week in Connecticut, I figured it was time to share my favorite legging crops for working out. Crops are perfect for those cooler morning or evening runs. The material is great because it keeps me warm, while wicking away moisture (well, let's call what it is, sweat). This bright tank is also part of my workout attire rotation. It is currently on sale for less than $10 and is perfect for running. It is so lightweight I barely even notice it's there.

Over the course of the year I not only began this blog but also started running as a hobby. I have always been hesitant to say that I am a "runner" because I don't run marathons, not even close. Then I realized it didn't matter if I could run a marathon or even a half marathon. I wanted to start running for myself, to keep my body in shape and to give my mind a break every once in a while. I am terrible over thinker and running gives me that alone time, almost like a break from reality and the never ending things on my daily to-do lists.

After running in a few 5k races and injuring my ankle I decided it was time to invest in a good pair of sneakers (I already had some great workout attire because who doesn't love lounging in comfort & style?) So, I asked around for a few suggestions and my friend, Anne from Fueling for the Long Run, referred me to Sound Runner located in Connecticut. This speciality sneaker store, provided me (and every customer) with one-on-one fittings. They study and analyze the way I walk and run. Then they fitted me for my perfect shoe. My favorite part was that I could try them out before purchasing! I was so impressed with the quality of my sneakers and my experience there, I just had to share this hidden gem with you. I love my sneakers so much I'm already pushing myself to train for a 10k and who knows, maybe eventually I'll find myself running a half marathon, but until then...

Thanks for stopping in! I SO appreciate you taking the time to read this post. Remember if you like what you see, be sure to share it!

xo, Lo

And BTW - no matter what distance you run - you are still a runner. Way to get out there!
