Summer vibes

And just like that my summer vacation is officially over! I cannot believe it. Where did the time go?? Although, truth be told I am actually really excited to get back to work & back to a routine. I know people say living life “scheduled” isn’t living. And I completely agree. I love to take surprise day trips with B and make plans on the go (we are especially bad with making dinner plans, I usually change my mind while en-route to one restaurant) However; having some consistency in my daily life actually helps improve my productivity.  But before I completely jump back in to work today I’m sharing a recap of my THREE favorite things this summer.

emma lynn

I am so excited about today's post because it features a local CT girl boss who makes custom clutches, known as: Emma Lynn Designs.  I specifically feel in love with her brand because of her own style inspiration: "Why settle for a one-size-fits-all accessory when every other part of your life is one-of-a-kind?"

I love fashion because it's such an easy and fun way to express myself. I love to find statement pieces that will stand out and grab people's attention, but are also practical and useful. This clutch is easily one of those pieces.

summer date night ideas

One of my favorite things about summer is that I don't need to wear a jacket when I go on a date! I know this sounds silly, but seriously, I am always cold. Over the years I have found that despite how many times I wear jeans and the perfect tank top I'm always cold. And having to match a jacket with my look doesn't always work.  However; I have found the perfect solution. After some reflecting on past date night outfits, I found that despite what I was wearing, it is always my chest and my arms that were cold. So instead of my staple jeans & a cute top, this summer, I opted for long sleeves and denim shorts.

The result: an easy, practical, and chic summer date night look

Wedding Etiquette 101: Featuring Bridal Showers

I’m excited to try today’s post because it was highly requested and something I usually don’t do. Today I’m sharing not only the do’s but also the do not’s of wedding etiquette!

B & I are finally in the stages of our wedding planning where we just registered (so much fun!) & have our wedding showers to look forward too- yes I said showers. I’m THAT girl who is having two showers but actually it’s so practical how could we not? Our families don’t live in the same state, so to make travel easier on everyone we are traveling. Although not what I had originally thought, I’ve learned through-out the whole planning process it is okay not to follow the rules.

In today's edition of Wedding Wednesday, I’m sharing some of my quick & easy tips on bridal shower etiquette.
