Monday morning intentions

Look c/o Ann Taylor: denim // black topwhite top // cork heels first pairsecond pair
bag // earrings // scarf
Morning lovely,

Monday mornings always feel like a refresh button. I use it as a way to set my intentions for the week. Since March, I've been struggling to find routines hat work and stick.  I was just talking to my friend about how I have all the time in the world and yet some days it feels like I've accomplished nothing. Can anyone else relate? Now I use Monday's as a way to focus on positive intentions for the week, forgiving myself for any lazy days the week before and making some realistic goals.

We've talked about this before, but getting ready for the day definitely helps get my mind in the right place. My office, is also the space I use to do my makeup and get ready, so I try to break up that routine by having breakfast in between, after I get ready and clean up. That way when I return to my office space it's tidy and my mind is ready to focus on work.

Creating your own backyard date night

Morning loves!

I am so excited to finally share the details on creating your own backyard date night! It's amazing what summer nights do for the soul. Just being outdoors totally boosts my mood. With the stay at home orders, still being encouraged I was excited to create our own unique backyard dining experience. While I may not love the actual process of cooking and preparing dinner, I enjoy the process of decorating and setting the table.

How to style white denim with Ann Taylor

bag // scarf // shoes
Hello lovely!

I hope you had a wonderful weekend. B and I took full advantage of the beautiful weather and spent a large portion of the weekend outside. We've started to create some new traditions, covid style, and I love it. This weekend we had our weekly family dinner with my parents, spent Sunday morning at the beach, and ended the day at a local Vineyard. I'm so impressed with all the safety precautions the state has adopted so that things can start to return to the "new" normal.

As many are returning to work, I was excited to partner with Ann Taylor to share a few new pieces from their summer collection that are perfect for work or date night, or an afternoon at the vineyard with friends.

DIY Farmhouse Picnic Table

A few weeks ago,
B and I purchased a $100 picnic table from Lowe's. I feel like picnic tables are a thing of the past. Seriously, it's not easy to find the traditional "picnic table" with the legs attached, a decent size, and made of wood, quality you can count on. However; a couple of you actually suggested checking Lowe's and Home Depot and we found Lowe's had the best deal!
