One piece, two different looks

And just like that all the St. Patrick's Day celebrations have come to a close. Despite the cold, one thing New England does well is St. Patrick's Day parades and celebrations. There is at least one a weekend you can attend throughout the month of March. Just this Sunday, my friends and I met for brunch and attended the local parade. It's such a fun time to see everyone get dressed up, it somehow makes the cold a little more bearable. I can't believe this coming weekend is the last weekend of March 2019 is going quickly and I must say I am anxiously awaiting spring and the warmer weather. Easter is usually the true beginning of Spring for me. The weather is finally warm enough that we don't need to wear winter jackets to watch the family Easter egg hunt.

Spring... is that you?

GOOD MORNING & welcome back to our regularly scheduled blog posts over here at RosesandRainBoots.com

Last week came & went and no blog post. Sorry about that! I miscalculated some of the posts I had scheduled and time just got away from me. Then there was the Instagram blackout, which started on Monday night and then lasted until Wednesday at some point. While the break was nice and appreciated, it definitely set me back a bit. Blogging can be so frustrating at times because consistency is so important but I also value family time and being present. As Y'all can see, I am still working on it. Luckily The Bachelor is officially over now, so I can get my Monday evenings back. Every season I think this is it, I'm not watching anymore and then every year I get sucked back into it and there go my Monday evenings. Anyone else feel me on this one?

But cheers to a new week and getting back into the routine!

Loft Try-On 40% off New & Now Sale

Let's talk about the NewNow sale happening at Loft right now.

Everything. I mean EVERYTHING is 40% off right now. It's the perfect opportunity to shop and update your wardrobe for spring.

I get so many requests for work wear, which is totally my love language for fashion. I eat, live and breathe the daily work grind, not 9-5, but similar at 7:30- 3:00pm. Working in education, jeans are just not a choice or option for work (for me). I personally want to set an example for my students and I find that dressing professionally really sets a positive tone. It sounds silly but research supports that students who dress up for tests vs the alternative of the comfortable sweatpants actually do better.
With that said, I've tried to pick pieces that work for both work and weekend/casual wear, just by mixing and matching.

There are SO many good items to choose from. Today's post is just sharing some of my favorites that my local store had in stock. So grab your cup of coffee, settle in, and let's get started.

February Instagram Round-Up & Best Selling Items

Hello there! I've got news!!!

I will be at the Westfarms Mall (located at 1500 New Britain Ave, West Hartford)
This Sunday, March 2019 for a PRIVATE Shopping event with yours truly! I would LOVE for y'all to come if you can make it. It means the world to me that Y'all look at my posts for style inspiration and I would love to meet to be able to meet & shop with YOU!

The event will take place from 9-11am... this is before the mall even opens! It ensures that you will have the stores and my full attention. There will be snacks, music, styling, and shopping of course. This will be my third event with Loft at Westfarms and I can't tell you how much fun I have.

I know we have been lucky, and have seen only a little snow, but I'm done with it now...it's March and I am ready for spring. My cousin starts baseball outside in just two weeks. Let's hope this Monday was the last of the cold & snow. And on that note, come and shop for spring with me this Sunday. I look forward to hopefully seeing you then!

Alright, now let's get to Roses and Rain Boots' February in Review.
