a Choker Necklace & the BEST Midi Skirt

Hi lovely! As I mentioned in my last post, if you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat then you know I recently got engaged! My amazing boyfriend/ photographer completely surprised me when he popped the question during a recent blog shoot. It was the most romantic, amazing and enjoyable day of my life. I now understand why they say weddings are the. BEST. day. ever!  I'm so excited to finally be sporting my new deets on the blog and can't wait to add some new "Wedding Wednesday" posts to share the wedding planning process with y'all. Feel free to send any post requests to rosesandrainboots@gmail.com I'd LOVE to hear from you!

The top 3 items you NEED for Fall

Anne in Anne of Green Gables once said " I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers." This quote that frequently circulates Pinterest this time of year has me feeling like a child before Christmas. I am so excited. I have always thought that I need to actually read Anne of Green Gables in order to fully appreciate the quote, so I've added it to my fall bucket list. Now, before you even say anything, I am aware that we are not in October yet and in fact the weather is supposed to be a high of 80 degrees today in Connecticut. But today is officially the first day of Fall and I SO excited. Besides "pumpkin spice coffee, blanket scarves & everything nice"... today's post is all about my top three must have's for fall are: transitional dresses, booties and a floppy suede hat.

Fall Essentials Part 1: Off the Shoulder Top & JORD Watch

I'm backkkk! Hello my lovely readers and sorry for my absence. If you were wondering what I have been up too & why I have disappeared, be sure to follow along on Instagram to know what's been happening in my life.

Currently in my style life I am still loving Off the Shoulder tops! I was definitely late to the OTS party, but I am one hundred percent for it. They are the perfect go-to for barbecues, date nights and much more. To make my tops more appropriate for fall, I am opting for darker prints, like this beauty from Anthropologie (also try this and this) and pairing them with my favorite Hudson flared denim jeans ( I also have my eye on this fabulous pair). I totally love this trend because they make your legs look fantastic! Pair them with a heel to give an even longer and slimming look.
