Your New Hang-Out Spot for the Summer

This past weekend I had the exciting opportunity to attend my FIRST blogging event. I can't believe I am even saying that I attended a blogging event. Back in January, all I knew was that I wanted to create a blog. I quickly learned there is a whole world of people, just like me, who also blog.  I also didn't realize how many different forms the word "BLOG" could take on. For example you have, blog (the noun or subject itself), blogger (person who blogs), blogosphere (to describe the whole e-world), blogging (as in you are currently working on your blog) and blogging/blogger events. And now all I know is I am obsessed. I love every minute I can spend blogging.

Last Saturday, a group of Connecticut Bloggers of all genres gathered at the Rooftop 120 (3rd Floor) to meet, chat and most importantly sample the most divine food and fabulous drinks. Pictured in the selfie above is one of my blogger friends Reena from TheNewEnglander.co We had so much fun tasting the food and our sweeties had even more fun exchanging "blogging boyfriend" stories. If you are familiar with the hilarious video "Instagram husband's" (linked here) then you'll understand how funny this is.

The food at the Rooftop is so fancy that it deserves a sophisticated word such as, divine or exquisite. It is obvious that the entire staff takes a lot of pride in the atmosphere, look and taste of the food. Every dish provides an explosion of delicious-goodness. Now, I am a terribly picky eater, so the food was a little fancy for me, but even I couldn't turn down the opportunity to taste some of the food that looked so delicious.

The second part of the tasting, the part I definitely enjoyed, is the drinks! If you follow me on Twitter- @rosesnrainboots, then you saw me post about my favorite drink, which is called "the rooftop watermelon." The drink was the taste of sweet summertime in a glass.

Between the gorgeous view, chic atmosphere, fabulous drinks and wonderful company it was a perfect Saturday afternoon. If you are Connecticut based, then I recommend you stop by the Rooftop 120 in Glastonbury and enjoy a sweet drink on the deck.  I can only imagine how chic it will be during the peek of summer. I know that I will definitely be back.

* A special thank you to ~Rooftop 120~ for having us and hosting such a wonderful event.
And another thank you to ~A Little Bird Told Me~ for inviting us and our sweeties. They loved meeting fellow boyfriends/husbands of girlfriends/wives who blog.

  7. Whitetail deer at one point used to be nearer to elimination in the United States. After amusement administration measures, they're in full compel. Here are some whitetail deer hunting tips to help your chase for these great creatures.
