How to wear shorts on a date night

Welcome back to that Monday morning reality, as I actually make my way into work this morning. YES, it is that time, back. to. school. Ah! This is so bittersweet because I love having the routine and I am truly SO much more productive. But at the same time, I'm sad to have to say goodbye to that sweet summertime. So in efforts to hold onto summer, I'm sharing my romantic summertime look from this past weekend.

So did y'all experience this past heat wave, or was it just a New England thing? It was above 90 almost everyday this past weekend. And it was still 80 degrees at 7pm when my boyfriend and I decided to venture out for dinner. As a result, a loose top and shorts is my go to look for nights when I want to look chic, while still trying to beat the heat. 

Prior to dinner, we went for a relaxing walk along the "marginal way" a mile long walk along the coast of Maine, that starts in Ogunquit and brings you to the quaint little town, Perkins Cove, where these pictures are featured. Now I know you are wondering, how did I make it there in my wedges? Luckily, my go-to bag is the perfect tote that stores my wedges, so I can wear converse on the walk.
