Winter Style for Work & MLK Sales

This week on Roses and Rain Boots I’m featuring some of my winter style (#ootd #currentlywearing) for work. I get a lot of requests about this, especially from my awesome co-workers! I usually don’t talk about work much on the blog, but I wanted to clue y’all in on how fortunate I am to work in a productive and positive environment; they are also extremely supportive of my second passion: the blog. My favorite days are when “Good Mornings” are followed with “OOH, is this outfit going to be on the blog? Well it should be!”

When dressing for work during the winter months, I always think about warmth first. I am known for always being cold, so this is a huge factor for me when choosing an outfit. I first started with these winter white, scratch that, stark white flares I got on super sale from the Loft at the end of summer. These are perfect length for me to pair with wedges or in this case, ankle booties. When wearing a more casual pant, I always opt for heels. They instantly take  pants up to the next level: hence, business casual.

After I chose these pants, I grabbed this camel colored turtle neck for two reasons: one: to offset the stark white color by create a more “winter” friendly vibe and two: warmth. Lastly, I paired it with my favorite bauble bar earrings. These instantly pull an outfit together, which also helped me choose the ice blue vest.

This is one of my favorite looks for work. It is casual and professional. It also gives new perspective on the outdated fashion law: no white after labor day.
