My Hair Care Routine

Hey y'all! For 2017 my goal is to obviously post more consistently, but also to post the content y'all want to hear. The most frequently asked question I always, literally, always get asked is about my hair! So today I am finally sharing ALL my secrets about my hair care... Are you ready, it's actually pretty good and includes a video tutorial; insert halo hands emoji here.

For starters, I wash my hair with Redken Shampoo and Conditioner. I've been doing this for years and love all their products. I have yet to try a shampoo I didn't like. Following, I take a beauty/hair vitamin daily. These vitamins are especially important in ensuring long, healthy hair. I've tried multiple brands, but Olly is by far the BEST! They taste amazing & have great results.

Next, I swear by Dry Shampoo. I think at any given time my hair is usually 99% dry shampoo. I actually think my hair looks better, a day old.  I have recently converted to this dry shampoo and absolutely love it!

I also love any of the It's a 10 sprays. This multi-purpose product detangles, protects hair from heat damage and adds shine. These products tend to be a little pricey, but I've linked a great option through amazon. Lastly, my most recent addition to my hair care routine was the Wet Brush and I don't know how I have gone so long without this. With long hair, I felt like I was constantly struggling to comb through knots, especially after the shower. But this has been life changing!

I once read somewhere the things closest to your body, i.e. towels, etc. should be the most expensive items. Therefore, opt for cheaper curtains and splurge on makeup, sheets, etc.  This was clearly in a home magazine but the same holds true for beauty products. These items go on my skin and the products I have listed are the best & definitely worth the extra $$.

The last part of my hair care routine is my classic curl. How I curl my hair is by far the most asked question I get asked, followed by which curling iron do I use? Spoiler alert: I don't use a curling iron anymore, ever. I have completely converted to the wand, specifically the T3 curling wand, thanks to an amazing Christmas gift from my gorgeous mama. However; a much cheaper alternative and the one I used to use is: this exact Bed Head Wand. Both of these curling wands are amazing.  If I can persuade you to purchase one beauty product this year, it would be this. It's also under $35, such a steal. And it's so easy to use. My biggest secret is to tip the wand upside down & catch the curls when the fall off. I don't know why, but my curls last 10 times longer when I do this trick.

Want to learn more about how I curl my hair?? I've just finished recording and attempting to edit my second youtube video:

Be sure to check it out & give it a thumbs up!!
