February is always such a weird month. March is even worse. During these months I crave springtime, but living in New England means we have two more months of winter. This weekend I was fighting a cold. The thing about colds that are so annoying is that they seem to hang on for forever. During this time of year, I usually try to double up on my vitamin C intake and lots of fluids to help keep my immune system up. However; on the flip side the cold actually forced me to have some much needed relaxation time. I was able to spend the weekend catching up on blog stuff, reading (be sure to check back on Wednesday for my book review), and shopping online.

Because these months can be so gloomy, I wanted to share a few pieces that are great for transitioning and on sale.

If you are looking to pare down on your closet, one tip is to think about investing in great basics, white denim, black denimraw hem denim, etc. and sticking with a color palette. Choosing clothes all within the same color scheme make it easier for making endless looks. In my spring wardrobe, you will find a lot of pinks, creams, whites, greys, and soft blues.

Thermals are probably my favorite tops right now. They are great for layering. I love this tee because it can be styled off the shoulder which is just a fun style for casual wear and can be styled as a v-neck. This particular free people thermal is great for pairing with leggings since there is total coverage in both the front and back, I did size up to a small and am happy with the fit. For added warmth pair with a pull-over sweater.

Cropped denim. I am here for this trend Y'all! Being tall means I have to be extra picky about the length and style, but I've been on the hunt for the perfect dupe to the raw hem mom-jeans I've been wearing 24/7 and I think I've found the pair. To wear this trend right now, I suggest pairing it with sock booties. This is a fun but practical way to feel a little bit more like spring.

Also, who's watching The Bachelor tonight? It just keeps getting worse! So why do I keep going back? Who knows. I can't believe I find myself back in the trap of watching it. So many critics say that this show is scripted, but I'm wondering how producers feel with this season. This season is particular seems to be so boring and breaking all the rules.

For one thing, I was surprised there was no two-on-one date this season. Another thing is the girls seem to be dropping like flies on their own accord. I have to give it to Elise and Demi who basically confronted him about the status of their relationship and left with heads held high.

I've also heard... major spoiler alert, that he doesn't pick someone in the end/ they don't end up engaged? I'm NOT saying that anyone has to or even should get engaged at the end of this season. To be honest, it only seems that it works out for The Bachelorette's maybe guys can handle watching their finance date, 30 other guys. I just have a feeling this season is going to be the opposite of Chris Harrison's "the most dramatic rose ceremony yet" and instead will be anti-climatic. For a while, I've thought my top 4 would be: Cassie, Caelynn, Hannah G, and Heather (the girl who had previously never been kissed). I am wondering if the next bachelorette will be one of those girls who doesn't get picked?? Usually, by now the next season has a clear potential candidate, but I'm not convinced for this season. Maybe they will go rogue like with Aerie and bring back an old favorite?

If you were to pick the next Bachelorette, who would you choose?
