Some of my favorite things to do in the morning consist of reading my devotional, finishing my blog post for the day, engaging on Instagram, and eating breakfast. I don't usually get to all of these, but I try my best to focus on a few things and get them done. Above all else, I believe eating breakfast is so crucial with starting my day off on the right foot. Finally, I try to jot down some daily and weekly goals for myself. Writing down my intentions helps to hold me a little more accountable and prioritize them. What is your morning routine like? Do you have a morning routine?

I'm loving that Y'all are appreciating, loving, and shopping my easy-to-create workwear looks! Since I live this life Monday- Friday's, I'm glad to see that Y'all are enjoying me sharing it with you. One thing I've been trying to do with my wardrobe is to build a seasonal "capsule" wardrobe. The idea is that the pieces purchased work for both work & play.
Now, even with the best intentions, this does not always work. But it's okay and nice to have a few pieces that are just for one activity. For example, I love ripped jeans. I always have and have three pairs that I've accumulated over the past two years that I wear just on the weekends. Furthermore, I have a few dresses that I absolutely love for work and feel great in, and that's all that I wear them for.
This entire outfit combines items in my "capsule" wardrobe. This shirt pairs so well with jeans, white jeans, black jeans, you get the idea. I find myself wearing this top on Saturday morning running errands or styled with dress pants or a fun skirt, like today. This faux leather skirt is a little edgy than I usually dress, but for that, I love it. I treated it as a basic, black skirt, mixed textures, and love the result. Also, my favorite tried, and true tip is to pair a shorter dress/skirt with leggings or tights for a more conservative look, depending upon your work environment.
And lastly, I wanted to finish the post off by sharing some of my hopes and goals for this week, hoping that we can all live our best life this week.
Some things I am hoping to accomplish this week are:
- Finish reflections for school
- Read a book! I've been awful at reading lately.
- Plan holiday content
- Finish my Gift Guides
- Finish decorating
- Increase my page views on the blog!
