Ann Taylor Spring Capsule Wardrobe Try-On

Good morning all,

I know a lot of us are working from home and will be for the unseeable future. And while I love to change into my loungewear after a long day of work, that's just it. I have found that for me, personally, I need to change and get ready for the day. It dramatically increases my mood and productivity. So while these items may not all be realistic for tomorrow, they are staple pieces that can mix and match to create a variety of looks, and there WILL be a day when we all return to the office and these are some great pieces to make a statement.

Today, I will be sharing 9 pieces to create a beautiful spring capsule wardrobe for spring.

In the capsule wardrobe: 2 jackets, 2 pairs of pants, 3 shirts, and 2 pairs of shoes.
(also featured the IT bag for spring and summer and a pair of denim).

Shop the wardrobe:

To start, I wanted a statement jacket. People usually think of capsule wardrobe pieces as being plain, so they an easily mix and match. I wanted to share a fun capsule wardrobe for spring that is made up of some unique and statement pieces. I love a fun lightweight jacket for spring and immediately fell in love when I saw this beauty. Pink & tweed? So fun for spring. Then, while I was browsing I saw this fun tweed Moto jacket. Such a feminine twist to the typically edgy jacket.

I love this look because the top is so feminine and such a universally flattering fit. I also have been majorly crushing on the cropped wide leg pants. I love this style over others because it's also a high rise fit. I find that when styling something more loose, like these pants, it's best to off set it with a more fitted and girlie top.

Again for this look, I paired a really fun and on trend peplum top with the wide leg pants. This type of "smocked" style top is popping up everywhere. Stock up on this basic neutral, to update your spring wardrobe. I also love the whole monochromatic look of an all white outfit for spring and summer.

 Then, to create a totally different look, add a tweed jacket. I love how fun this jacket is! There will be a day when we get to leave the house again and this will for sure be my first look out there.

Again, let's talk about a refresh on some everyday basics. I love the look of this blouse. It serves as a great layering piece.

Y'all can we talk about STATEMENT?? There are SO many things I just love about this entire look. I appreciate that dressing up for work, and looking professional doesn't have to be boring.

I'm not one to shy away from trying a more bold look, when it's made up of classic pieces. I love adding the pink ruffles to these fitted tweed pants for a fresh look for spring.

I love how cute this smocked top looks paired with these tweed pants.

This isn't your average blouse. It's so flattering and has the most subtle shine to the stripes. Don't be afraid to pattern mix and add texture when in the same color family.

{Special thanks to Ann Taylor for these beautiful items #gifted}
