Your guide to navigating the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2020

I'll be honest, sales seriously overwhelm me! Especially a sale like the Nordstrom Sale, which is so unique because instead of listing all the items at the end of a season (basically the ones that didn't sell), brands opt to gather this year's current releases and put them on sale!

It's a great time to stock up on basics, like a new pair of booties. I'm picking pieces that will go with what I already have in my closet. These pieces will make my wardrobe go further. If you have to buy a whole new look for the cardigan, don't get it!

This year they brought back my FAVORITE pair of booties with some slight variations, an extra stitching for detail and some netting, making them more sock friendly. IF you missed out on these last year, they are SO comfortable and worth every penny. I wore mine all the time last year and they still are in almost perfect condition.

A good pair of knee high boots are a MUST in my book. I wear them ALL. THE. TIME. I actually prefer knee high boots to booties and this pair did not disappoint. I was excited to see a similar pair available in the Sale. Mine have a slight slouch to them, but this year's are a different brand and have a purposeful slouch to them.

Another great investment are the Spanx faux leather leggings. Y'all these are LEGIT worth the hype. They are so good. I purchased mine years ago and they still look brand new. I wear mine teaching, to the ski mountain, every where! I get asked a lot about the faux leather part, since I think that can be intimidating, but I treat mine as "regular" leggings, style them as normal and the faux leather part just gives off the perfect added glam to the look.

Last up, for quality pieces that I own are the Patagonia better sweater jackets. I purchased one for B from the sale years ago and he was also really impressed! I feel if B likes it, then y'all know it's good. Again, I opt for this when I need a jacket but don't want to wear a proper pea-coat. IT's also great for just lounging in the house. The gray and black NEVER go on sale, so don't wait if you've been eyeing one!
