a Choker Necklace & the BEST Midi Skirt

Hi lovely! As I mentioned in my last post, if you follow me on Instagram or Snapchat then you know I recently got engaged! My amazing boyfriend/ photographer completely surprised me when he popped the question during a recent blog shoot. It was the most romantic, amazing and enjoyable day of my life. I now understand why they say weddings are the. BEST. day. ever!  I'm so excited to finally be sporting my new deets on the blog and can't wait to add some new "Wedding Wednesday" posts to share the wedding planning process with y'all. Along with my new engagement ring, today I am sporting my new choker necklace. Previously I had been on the fence about this trend but finally decided to try it when I found two amazing chokers for under $5 at forever 21. Did you see my previous blog post about my rationale about cost/wear for trends? This algorithm helps me stick to my clothing budgets  & try trends without breaking the bank.  

Also highlighted in today's post is the most amazing skirt. I am literally obsessed. This skirt was sent c/o MakeMeChic,  an up and coming online clothing store that offers the latest trends at great prices, and this skirt is priced at only $18!  One of my favorite ways to transition some of my lighter pieces, like this skirt, into fall is to pair it with a warmer sweater & neutrals.
