I definitely wanted to get this post up before we move away
from sweater weather. I know most of the bloggers I follow, live in warmer
climates so they are already wearing shorts and spring dresses, whereas my pasty
white legs will not be seeing the sun any time before April. Nonetheless, even
though it’s not nearly shorts weather in New England, in just a few short weeks
I will be packing away my chunky knit sweaters and wool skirts. A staple chunky
knit is something I used to think only grandma’s wear… sorry grandma, but now as
I’ve matured and started to work, I realize how truly fashionable they are!
Shop the look:
Chunky knits have taken over on pinterest and have really
become a closet staple. They can be paired with distressed denim and a top knot
for a chic weekend look or paired with tights to off-set a shorter flirty
skirt. For today’s look I went for business casual and comfort. If you don’t
already own a pair of black skinny jeans, you NEED them, literally need them.
They go with everything and are easily paired with boots without any added
fabric bulk.
Typically, I’m not really a lipstick kind of gal, but
lately, thanks to youtube tutorials, I decided to give it a try. And as a result, I’m loving the way this pink
lipstick pops against the darker colors of the sweater. In my opinion it adds a
ton of glam to the look and all it was, was a new lipstick! Lastly, J. Crew
factory is seriously a go-to of mine for jewelry. Their pieces are always tried
and true classics and are the best quality, they last forever, and these
earrings are no exception.
