How to Style Leopard - Wearing your #nsale purchases now!

One of the most frustrating things about the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, besides the fact that everything sells out, is that I can't wear the products right away. Who wants to buy a bunch of clothing items you can't wear for a few months? Not I, especially when I specifically stick to a clothing/shopping budget. However; my task this year was to buy staple pieces I know I would wear a lot. If I was on the fence about an item- I sent it back. If it didn't immediately transfer into an outfit using pieces I already own- it went back. You get the picture, right? 

So today's post is all about how I am & will style some of my favorite #nsale purchases, like this leopard scarf:

One of my all time favorite style quotes is that "leopard is a neutral."  This quote literally changed the way I thought about creating outfits and pattern mixing. I especially love this particular leopard scarf because it is only $25- such a steal. 

Wear it now: This particular leopard print pairs great with black tones, as well as tans, which I used to accent with some gold accessories. For this particular look, I also wanted to add a pop of color. The bright scalloped shorts add just the right touch of preppy that makes this outfit feel like summer.  

Wear it later: In the fall, I plan to pair this scarf with neutrals. For starters, I know I will wear it with a staple black t-shirt dress, denim jacket & some fall booties. Additionally, it pairs well with white denim & a basic black tee. With this scarf the possibilities are endless!
