Must-have Summer Outfit on a Budget & a Wedding Wednesday Update

This outfit was a staple of mine this summer, especially during our vacation to Ogunquit, Maine. For starters, it doesn’t take up a lot of room in my suitcase and both the tank and shorts can be paired with different pieces to create new outfits. Currently, my exact tank is on sale for only $12 in all colors! These tanks are perfect for layering with a cardigan and skirt for work. Now is the perfect time to stock up for fall. Speaking off fall, pictured is my new favorite nail polish color: Swept off my feet. It is the perfect shade of red meets burgundy. *Also on sale are my shorts and a similar pair of TB sandals all linked below!

Happy Shopping!!

Life Update: Today I’m featuring a mini Wedding Wednesday addition since this is basically like the best week EVER in our wedding planning so far. I am SO excited to be going to my first dress fitting. But before anyone gets too excited, I am keeping the details of the dress a SECRET until our big day! (Only my mom and my bridesmaids have seen it)

Throughout the wedding planning process people have asked me: “How’s it going?” “You seem so calm?” “You’re basically planned already, aren’t you?” Although I haven’t remained calm throughout the entire process, at one point I was convinced we would never find a place to have our reception. And then after looking at 20 different places, the 21st place was beyond perfect. I have been able to stick to two of my original goals: to not exceed our budget & to not regret or wish the wedding planning process was over.

Our secret- leave plenty of time to make big decisions. This tip has been the biggest and single most important factor in keeping our stress level down and staying within our budget. If you have been married before, what did you and your fiancé do to keep wedding planning enjoyable?

Additionally, throughout the course of wedding planning, I have learned how truly amazing my family and friends are, especially my bridesmaids and mom, who have taken turns participating in all the little events, like: “interviewing” florists, shopping for center pieces, and now dress fittings that have seriously helped to keep my stress level down & make even the smallest of events a fun experience worth remembering.

  1. Wow! It is amazing the look of your dress is so classy. The casual wear and those hanging ear rings go so well. A school teachers dressing must look trendy so that they can keep students attention intact.
