Stripes and the new "IT" vest

So if you live in CT then you definitely need to make your way over to Grace boutique! As soon as I walked into Grace I knew I had to have this vest. I didn't have a clue how I was going to style it but I knew I wanted it. It's been hanging in my closet for a few weeks now and I am so excited with its reveal today! It's the perfect vest for transitioning into Spring.

Over the past couple weeks we have been super fortunate in New England to have an extremely mild winter and have been able to wear lighter layers. I love the way you can gather the extra layers around the neck to create more of a scarf look as pictured or for added warmth open it up and pull the layers down over your shoulders.

I also have a thing for stripes lately, clearly, seeing as this is my second outfit of the week with them! I originally saw this shirt on Maureen from The Northeast Girl last year and immediately wanted it. But of course it wasn't on sale yet so I had to wait. By the time it was on sale and I remembered to order it, it was practically sold out! I had to call a few stores to eventually find one that had it and would ship it to my local store. . . the things we do for fashion. But as you can tell it finally came and I love it! The added shoulder detail is unique and gives an added romantic feel to stripes. This shirt also looks great with leopard! Now that I am thinking about it,  I'm wishing I grabbed my leopard clutch definitely will as a transition this from a work to date night outfit.
