Hi all! I hope you are having a wonderful week. I can't believe it is Wednesday already. This week has been crazy busy for me already getting back into the routine of work and such. I am definitely running behind and will be using the weekend to get myself organized.

This past weekend I had the exciting opportunity to attend my FIRST blogging event. I can't believe I am even saying that I attended a blogging event. Back in January, all I knew was that I wanted to create a blog. I quickly learned there is a whole world of people, just like me, who also blog.  I also didn't realize how many different forms the word "BLOG" could take on. For example you have, blog (the noun or subject itself), blogger (person who blogs), blogosphere (to describe the whole e-world), blogging (as in you are currently working on your blog) and blogging/blogger events. And now all I know is I am obsessed. I love every minute I can spend blogging.

I think it's safe to say that Spring has finally made an appearance here in New England! It actually got up to 70 degrees this weekend, and you know what that means... YES, a trip to the beach. Now please don't go crazy. I will not be wearing my bathing suit or shorts for at least another month. But I will throw on a pair of comfortable jeans, a light weight sweater and my Tory Burch sandals. Combine that outfit of the day with a good read and you've got yourself a beach outing. Can you Wear White Before Memorial Day?! Absolutely!

Today's Challenge is all about White-Out! I got my inspiration for today's look from my friend, Leigh's pinterest. She always pins and wears the most chic outfits. She is always such a style inspiration for myself. Last summer she found the best white on white trends and I attempted one of them today! I also wanted to make it my own by adding a pop of color using some accessories. 

SCSpringStyle: Floral Patterns

I got this dress last year from White House Black Market and it was truly love at first sight. Everything about this dress screamed me. It's black foundation makes it easy to pair with anything. And the bold colors and floral show the fun I like to have when picking my everyday outfit. I also LOVE the fit of this dress. Similar to a midi skirt, although it cuts a little higher is so stunning and flattering. It accents my natural waist, while giving a feminie flare. 

SCSpringStyle: Pattern Mixing

I am actually sad that today is Wednesday because that means there is only two more days of the #SCSpringStyle challenge! I have really enjoyed seeing everyone's fabulous outfits. The way everyone can interpret a theme such as: Pattern mixing or Pantone colors and make it completely reflect their own personality and style is my FAVORITE thing about fashion. People always say "I blog as a creative outlet" but the more I blog and connect with other bloggers I really understand how your style reflects the person you are. Can you tell what type of person I am?! Girlie? Check. Feminine? Check. Happy?! Check.

So the #SCSpringStyle challenge is in full swing and I couldn't be happier. I am LOVING seeing and connecting with all my Style Collective Sisters and making new friends. All of your outfits have been b.e.a.utiful and I have been having some major #swooning happening over here. Today's theme is a spring bag/clutch and I couldn't wait to share with you this lovely Kate Spade floral bag I picked up at the outlet a year or two ago. It is the perfect spring/summer bag. And brings just enough fun and color to any outfit.

#SCSpringStyle Challenge Day 1

Are you ready?! The Style Collective Spring Style Challenge is FINALLY here. The girls and I have been talking about this challenge for a couple of months now and of course after we finalized the themes the weather turned crazy! Between the wind, rain or snow it has been impossible to take photos. Eventually I was able to brave the cold and snap a couple quick shots of today's outfit of the day featuring Pantone's Colors of the Year: Rose Quartz and Serenity.

When I first started blogging I really tried to reach out to a variety of different bloggers whom I admired and one blogger in particular stood out to me and her name is Kelly. I can't believe the weather lately, I thought it was supposed to be spring! We had snow flurries last weekend and have some flurries on the forecast again this weekend. Having started my blog in the winter the weather has to have been my BIGGEST challenge. Actually it has been so unbearably cold this week and last weekend I haven't been able to take any updated photos. Yesterday my boyfriend and I took a drive down to the beach (I live a block away) because it was that cold. I ended up having to run back to the car half way through to warm up. In addition to fighting the wind the whole time. Between my dress and hair, I couldn't win. Wind-1 Lauren-0. #bloggingstruggles.
