Why you shouldn't hit snooze; managing your productivity

The weeks have just been crazy y'all! Do you ever feel like you have SO much to do and then an hour goes by and you think "what did I just accomplish?!" Lately, I felt like I haven't been very good at managing my productivity. I have however found that there is plenty of time in the day, I am not that busy, and I need to rethink the way I get things done. While listening to a podcast on my drive to work the other day, the speaker reminded me how crucial it is to spend just 5 minutes a day with my thoughts, prayers, and God. Joyce Meyers, the podcast speaker, put it into real perspective for me; she said how one snooze on the alarm clock adds up to 4 days a year! I couldn't believe that. That was the reminder I needed to organize my time more wisely, work smarter not harder, right?

How to style & wear sequins to work

anddd... here it is as promised. Like I said yesterday, to everyone I work with, who also follows the blog, sorry I'm not sorry that I'm wearing this outfit from my Instagram post last night. I just couldn't resist. This look is SO easy, classy & my favorite, it's fun! I still love to wear sequins even though I'm in my late twenties. And I also can't afford to have two completely separate wardrobes (i.e. separate clothes for work vs. weekend) so I usually try to incorporate my "fun" pieces into my work attire. When it comes to selecting fun pieces, fit & cut are critical. I couldn't wear this sweater to work if it had a low v-neck or open back. Also, since sequins, like this sweater are such a statement pieces, I keep my jewelry minimal and pair the look with basics, for this look I paired it with modest (and most worn) black skirt and black OTK boots.

affordable winter layers

Who would have thought that after having a surprise four day weekend (we had a snow day Thursday AND Friday last week) that the struggle to get motivated for work this week was IS real. I have been having major #realworldproblems because I continuously can't decide what to wear. I have to dress practically, because due to the setup of our building I have to walk in and out of the building multiple times a day, so two things are at the forefront of my mind when choosing an outfit of the day: warmth & shoes. And I realized, this outfit is easily one of my favorite go-to's.
Confession, I own this dress in three colors because it's under $25 and it's that good.
