How to take a look from Day to Night

Happy Tuesday lovelies! I am SO thrown off with my days of the week lately. I couldn't believe yesterday was Monday (and I didn't have my post ready). The weekend got away from me, mainly because I was busy having fun & visiting with friends. On Friday after work, my boyfriend and I braved the traffic (literally we left at 5:30pm, rush hour) to make the three hour trip down to New Jersey. Luckily, we didn't hit any traffic and made it there by 9:00pm after we stopped at Target. I told y'all I love that store! The weekend full of laughs, games and food. How was your #MDW (Translation: Memorial Day Weekend)?!

Your New Favorite Floral Skirt & Chambray Top

Good Row Clothing has done it again with this pretty floral number. I first fell in love with the bright colors in this skirt and then the length, I mean who doesn't love a good midi skirt? Being a teacher it's always that fine line of length, when it comes to choosing a dress or skirt Although, the first time I saw this skirt it was love at first sight, the skirt was sold out! So I signed up to be emailed a notification when they restocked (thinking do these even work?) well YES they do work. A couple weeks later I got an email notification enforming me that my must have skirt had been restocked. I immediately bought the skirt and was flattered when Good Row asked to partner with me for a shoot.

5 Reasons Why You Need a Pair of Tieks

I finally did it and took the plunge. I finally purchased a pair of Tieks. Personally, I think these shoes are specifically target teachers, nurses and other working professionals who are on their feet during the day so require comfort but crave style. Known for their signature blue bottoms, Tieks are designed for flexibility, comfort and most importantly style. Today I am sharing my top 5 reasons why you need a pair to Tieks! Let's get started...

Brunch with my Girls @RED36

Happy Fri-YAY lovely. This week felt long, did it feel long for anyone else? I think most weeks feel long because I am always looking forward to the weekend. I mean who isn't? You can spend time with friends and family and do fun activities, especially now with the warmer weather finally here we can take advantage of things outside. This past weekend I went to brunch with some of my friends from Book Club! It was awesome. **And, I also want to say "thank you" to all my friends for sharing their food pic's with me. I need to be better about using my camera.

Off the Shoulder Top That is Date Night Approved

I have been searching and searching for an off-the-shoulder top. My friend Annie was searching for one this past weekend and came up with the theory that we can't find any because "all the fashion bloggers have bought them all." True statement Miss Annie, follow her @thelovelygirl. Luckily I was gifted a gift card from eShakti and literally could not put this top in my bag fast enough! Finally a top that was long enough.

What to Wear to Work Monday

Hi lovely, I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

This Saturday was gorgeous so I actually took a break from blogging & social media (did you miss me?) to spend some time with family. In the morning my mom and I ran some errands together and  in the afternoon my boyfriend and I joined my parents for a double date round of golf, first game of the season. I am not very good at golf, as you can tell I'm not even sure "game" is the correct lingo for golf, but none the less, we had a lot of laughs and had a great time. It was a perfect Saturday. Then of course on Sunday, when I tried to squeeze in a shoot before brunch with some of my girls (post to come, so stay tuned this week) the wind picked up as soon as I got out of the car... of course, so don't mind the windy hair!

Maxi Dress & a Denim Jacket

Being 5'9" definitely poses it's challenges when it comes to fashion, especially with maxi dresses. So let me tell you I was thrilled to find this maxi dress that was long enough and under $50. I will definitely be purchasing another one, I'm deciding between this or this. Leave your pick in the comments section!

Meet some of my Insta Squad

Today I want to introduce you to some of the wonderful ladies I have met through blogging. I saw the other day Ben Higgins with his Fiance Lauren (such a bachelor fan) were with two of the girls from the show. Immediately addressing many peoples assumptions Ben stated: "You may find this awkward, but we just believe you can meet friends in any way" This stands true with these ladies. I have completely connected with many ladies in the blogging world and am so grateful to have them as support and motivators.

Flower Crown & My Cost/Wear Algorithm

So I told have y'all before that I know what I LOVE when it comes to trends and flower crowns are definitely a trend I love. It makes me feel like a 70's child (embracing the flower and love... not everything else, I know what you were thinking!) Besides loving to try new trends that fit in with my style I am also about saving money.

Pink, Pearls & a Monogram, oh my! @KJP

Y'all, it's finally here! I am obsessed with this pearl bracelet. For starters, who doesn't love pearls?! As co-desinger Sarah, from Kiel James Patrick, knows from her blog title "Classy Girls Wear Pearls," pearls are always a good idea. This bracelet is perfect for special occasions or dressing up a simple pair of shorts and a button down for a summer date.

Beauty Widgets

Happy Hump Day Lovelies! I am so excited to share these makeup brushes with you! I actually think it is ironic because Roses and Rain Boots is a "Life, Style & Beauty Blog" but I have been neglecting the beauty. Beauty Widgets is about creating high quality makeup brushes without animal cruelty. Style & Animal friendly... win. win.

What to Wear to a Kentucky Derby Party

One of the main reasons I love the Kentucky Derby is because it is a great excuse to dress up.  Even if you aren't going to the actual Kentucky Derby dressing up makes watching the race more fun.
This coming Saturday I will be attending a Kentucky Derby Party with some friends and a hat is a must.
