My first dating experience for friends was when I went to a "Pumpkin Carving Party" by myself. I only knew the two hosting the event. Now if you're anything like me going to an event where you know only one person (and you are not going together) can be SUPER nerve racking. But I told myself to suck it up and go. And it turned out to be a blast! I became closer with the lovely ladies hosting and made a new bestie. It was friends at first sight! But seriously. When I came home that night both my parents commented "did you go on a girl date?!" It seems like it did.
The second time I met someone and instantly knew we were supposed to be friends was when I met the awesome #girlboss behind the quaint, chic and fabulous boutique: Pearls and Plaid in East Haddam, Connecticut (pictured above). If you haven't already checked out this shop and you are a local reader then you need too. as. soon. as. possible. Also there's the prettiest pink ice cream shop right next to the shop. If that doesn't scream perfect then I don't know what does. I am so excited to collaborate with this lovely and inspiring lady and look forward to the many fabulous adventures to come!
Although today's post is really about building your gal-pal network and supporting each other but I also wanted to share these amazing flats my lovely new bestie gifted to me. They are the IT shoe for spring; they have been in everyone's shopping bag since January anxiously awaiting warmer weather and I assure you they are a must-have. Not only are they stylish they are seriously the most comfortable shoe, especially for a flat. They also can be styled for work with a chic pencil skirt and lace top or dressed down with rolled jeans and a fun top for a night out. More too come with these beauties, stay tuned!
Right now in the fashion world the most "affordable" talked about shoe is the Steve Madden suede flat priced at $70. However; the @PearlsandPlaid look-a-like is only $30!! I just saved you
I am all about supporting each other and building my network of friends. I will never turn down a cup of coffee and the chance to make a new gal-pal. Don't forget to sign up for my email subscription so we can stay up to date <3
