RED 36 has to be one of the chicest hidden gems in historical downtown Mystic, CT. I say hidden gem because it is off the beaten path. RED 36 is located directly on the water in a boat yard. They even have dock space reserved, for those traveling by boat. In the summer time, the walls (made entirely of windows) open to the outdoor bar and lounge area complete with a fire pit. The staff at RED 36 truly know the meaning of customer service. I highly recommend you put RED 36 on your list of must-see places this summer.
Now seafood is of course the restaurants main claim to fame but they also have a wonderful "breakfast pizza" that is as delicious as it sounds. The pizza is compiled of egg, bacon, cheese and tomato on a flat bread. Combine this with their fruit parfait and you have yourself a delicious brunch. In addition to their tasty breakfast food, their mimosa's and bacon bloody mary's are amazing! They are as lovely as are delicious.
Dressing for brunch had to be one of my favorite things, naturally. It was the perfect excuse to add some waves to my hair and wear my flower crown! And because I knew we would be sitting for a while (my friends and I love to chat) I grabbed on my go-to white denim and a comfy sweater from Halogen.
I've said it before, but joining a book club has truly been one of the best choices I could have made. I have formed some true friendships and cherish of our monthly meetings where we update each other on the month's events, laugh a lot and oh... talk about the book, sometimes. Aren't they all beautiful? Love ya ladies! xoxo
(Some book club ladies and Chris Jones, a general manager, admiring the view)
(I told you their drinks are lovely, photo borrowed from their gallery)
(Complimentary snack, the girls said it was amazing)
Let's get chatty:
Are you in a book club?
What is on your summer must-read list?

This sounds like so much fun. You all look amazing and the location looks beautiful! Xoxo
ReplyDeleteGoodness, you and your friends are so lovely!! We've tried to start a book club quite a few times, and even bought a book for it once, but it ended up being just a wine and chat night, and then it always fizzles out. This makes me want to start back, though!
