What to Wear to Work Monday

Hi lovely, I hope you had a wonderful weekend!

This Saturday was gorgeous so I actually took a break from blogging & social media (did you miss me?) to spend some time with family. In the morning my mom and I ran some errands together and  in the afternoon my boyfriend and I joined my parents for a double date round of golf, first game of the season. I am not very good at golf, as you can tell I'm not even sure "game" is the correct lingo for golf, but none the less, we had a lot of laughs and had a great time. It was a perfect Saturday. Then of course on Sunday, when I tried to squeeze in a shoot before brunch with some of my girls (post to come, so stay tuned this week) the wind picked up as soon as I got out of the car... of course, so don't mind the windy hair!

I love easy dresses such as this one from Anthropologie. It is perfect for a day at work because it requires little thought and effort when making an outfit that instantly makes you feel great. I love the printed skirt portion of this dress because it is easily compatible with a variety of cardigans and accessories. Originally, I saw this dress in the Anthropologie store and instantly feel in love but unfortunately, it was out of my budget. So, being the bargain hunter I am, I took a picture of it to save and check back later for a sale. A couple months later I still didn't have the dress, then one day while randomly browsing through T. J. Maxx, (Side note- I love their deals but find it SO difficult to shop through racks of stuff with different items. I like to see clusters of the same things neatly hung or folded, this is probably the OCD in me) and there it was! The same exact dress was hanging on the rack for less than 60% off. I bought it immediately and never looked back!

Two weeks ago, I was chatting with my friend about #treatyourself since I was recently accepted into LiketoKnowit (this is a big deal in the blogging community, sign up here to shop my Instagram posts via email) and I completely splurged when Tory Burch was having a sale and picked up this beauty. Since blogging I carry my laptop with me more and found that I was bringing a purse and a bag... what am I a bag lady? So this new bag was my solution. It is specially designed to have a spot for your laptop and besides isn't the color simply gorgeous?!

What have you treated yourself too lately?!

  10. lo--hey pretty lady in green!! FIRST, we both posted work outfits today. SAY WHHHATTT?!!! you look so pretty in that color i can see why you have quite a bit of green in your closet. i on the other hand need to work on my #greengame :( show me your ways please! i thought it was a skirt and blouse combo but it's actually a dress. that means one piece!! that means not having to find a matching top or bottom!! SOLD!! i know right, anthro has the best dresses. i actually don't even own one bc their stuff is so expensive. by the time it does go on sale, it is out of my size. there is this popsicle shirt dress i want so bad right now. but i cannot see myself spending 158$ for a dress... with popsicles... !!!! and what you found it at Marshalls? in your size?! if something is meant to be this is it. also, #treatyourself bag is fab. i'm so glad you got it for yourself. now, it has a story behind it :) xoxo,

  13. Hello self control for not buying the dress from Anthro right away! I absolutely love the green on you & totally thought it was a shirt/skirt combo at first! I've had that TB tote since last March and literally use it every day for work--such a good investment! Jealous of your color, though, because that was sold-out when I got mine! BUMMER! Excited to hear what you think about The Husband's Secret!!
