Now that summer is officially here (I know I keep saying this, but now it is officially, officially here, since the calendar & Facebook says so!) it is time to pull out my favorite summer essentials. For starters, a gold monogram necklace and white converse are part of my summer uniform. These are definitely a favorite of mine and I am always getting compliments on them. Also, if you still haven't purchased a pair of converse (which you NEED too) I recommend getting the no-tie ones linked here, the lace ups pictured on me here are great, but I would love them even more if I could just actually slip them on and not have to tie them. Does that make me lazy? ooops....
Another one of my favorites is this classic reversible tote. It fits so much, including my laptop and a pair of sandals. I am usually running from tutoring to coffee/ blogging to dinner/drinks with friends and this tote makes it easy for me to transport everything.
Lastly, I love my summer skirts and dresses and enjoy getting dressed up for work everyday. However; once school is out I equally enjoy a casual tee and pair of shorts. So I secretly have a thing for Camo! My exact tee is old from the factory but I've linked two great & affordable options in the "look-book" below, be sure to check it out. My tips for making camo work, are to stay true to your style. For example, I pair it with classic pearls and a monogram to balance it with the girlie and preppy vibe. I also pair it with white denim for a "clean" and "fresh" look. Whether on the go running errands or off to work, I also want to look put together. I am frequently running into people (small town vibes) and always want to make a good impression.
These white denim shorts from J. Crew Factory are the perfect length for me (I rolled them twice) and I love their relaxed fit. I have been looking to update my summer wardrobe with a pair of distressed denim shorts but haven't found that perfect pair yet, what is your go-to pair of shorts? Where do you shop for denim? lo--HEY GF! loving you in this simple camo tee and them white shorts! i don't think i have a pair of white denim shorts... ekk, i know i am VERY slow on hopping onto the white denim wagon. also, i've been meaning to get a pair of converse one day, and DEF getting the slip ons. bc tie shoes? ain't nobody got time for that!!! i also have the hardest time finding denim shorts, i guess i'm more of a chino girl (hello jcrew 4" chinos in all colors), but i was able to snag some distressed denim ones at H&M last year. ps--i wear my monogram necklace everyday!! prob my fav accessory. hope you are having a good break boo. xoxo,
