Valentine's Day Gift Guide for Her

Hello there!! Get ready to do some shopping today.  I've linked up my top gifts for Valentine's Day for under $50. YES you read that right... $50.. oh & yes I've included one totally ridiculous gift, but hey... a girl can dream!!

Shop them all here:

3 Tips for nailing the perfect gift for your sweetie, bestie, mom, etc.

Tip 1: Think about that person. Think about their interests, hobbies, likes/dislikes. Ask yourself, does this person love candles, jewelry, a good book? I love to read so my fiancé pays special attention to my favorite authors and new releases when picking gifts. He also religiously reads my blog, so it's a pleasant surprise when he purchases something off my wish list. These gifts don't usually have large price tags but remind me of that he's thinking about me and help make my heart full.

Tip 2: Flowers are always a good idea. I'm a fan of handpicked arrangements. They are way more personal. So instead of a dozen roses, find out your sweetie's favorite flowers and mix it up. And yes we all know a flowers life span is fleeting. But they are an instant mood booster & studies show that people are happier, yes you read that right, proven to be happier when they have living things in their home; such as pets or plants.

Tip 3: Do it yourself (DIY) gifts. It goes without saying handmade gifts always touch the heart. For this tip I recommend reading The 5 Love Languages, to see which gift your significant other would appreciate more: the act of giving gifts, quality time together, the act of service/ chores, words of affirmation or touch.

  2. Great tips! I don't think the hubby would ever do anything DIY for me even though that would be really nice.

  4. Such a lovely gift guide! I absolutely adore the Kate Spade bag. So classic. I also love all things French, so the Diptyque candle caught my eye. It's so cute to get a gift like this for your mom or a friend! Growing up, my mom would always get me a special Valentine's Day gift, and it was so meaningful to me. Time to return the favor and start getting her a gift in addition to those flowers! xo, Lindsay | Paris, Meet Boston | www.parismeetboston.com
