Navigating the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018

Y'alllllll I am loving Texas! No surprise there. I truly believe I belong in the South, despite the heat. The food here is terrific. I am always eating and sampling new things. Last night we had authentic Venezuelan food from a food truck on Rainey Street. I was thinking of creating a post featuring a travel guide for Austin. I am by no means an expert, but I got SO many useful recommendations that I would love to share with y’all!

Okay.... now on to the excellent news. The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is finally open to the public. Or if you lost track of the days of the week like I did yesterday, I falsely thought the sale opened yesterday --> #bloggerfail. The purpose of today's post is to help you swift through & manage the wide variety of amazing products that are on sale. This sale can be incredibly overwhelming and can often cause me to "over-buy" for fear of missing out. This year, in theme with redefining and confirming my style I limited myself to no more than ten purchases! Ten purchases may sound like a lot, but I budget in advance for all my purchases as they will be the basics that transition my wardrobe into fall and then winter. BONUS most of my purchases can even be worn now!

What I purchased:

#1 BP Cardigan size x-small (tts)

If you buy one thing, it should be this! For starters, the color is perfect. This piece pairs so well with everything. I am already anticipating that this will be my most worn item for Fall.
#2 Lush ‘Mock’ Button Down size small (i wanted a more relaxed fit)
This top is so lightweight and perfect for now. I am already styling it with shorts for a dressier look. It is a great closet staple that looks great layered with a variety of items.
#3 & #4 BP Lace Cami size x-small
I lied if you buy one thing, it NEEDS to be this cami. I purchased both the white and black which have already been styled multiple ways as shown on my Instagram. ** this item will sell out!!
#5 Paige Denim size 25 TTS
I have always had an obsession with denim. The fit is so important, and I am completely digging the high-waisted fit. This pair is a little more expensive, but I wanted an updated pair to refresh my wardrobe. I also sold two of my old pairs to offset the cost.
However; If you are looking for a more affordable option, this pair is under $40 and a great basic.
#6 Madewell Buttondown size small (i wanted a more relaxed fit)
Don’t miss out on this awesome find! It is such a classic plaid that will carry over from year to year.
#7 Madewell Cream Cardigan size x-small (tts)
I love this cardigan so much. Prior to the sale, I already owned it in 3 colors and was really excited to share that is apart of the sale! To learn more about this cardi check out this post here.
#8 Spanx Faux Leather Leggings size x-small (tts)
I just ordered these, because the reviews are fantastic.  This is a purchase for later. Faux leather leggings are a closet staple for fall. I’m excited to try this pair out & hope you will too!
#9 Madewell Scarf 
Clearly, I love Madewell & pink, so this was a match made in heaven! I probably didn’t need a new scarf, but I knew I would wear this one a lot.
#10 BP Jumpsuit size x-small (tts)
This is Roses and Rain Boots MOST purchased item from the sale to date. It s under $45 and going fast so do not miss out!
