Why hello gorgeous. How was your week? Welcome to April.

Yes. that just happened. We are now in April. Where did the time go?!

For the last weekend in March, B and I couldn't have asked for a better way to end the month. The weekend was just so lovely! I can't believe how lucky we are to live so close to family. While we may not live in the same state as my in-laws we are still just a short long drive away. Over the weekend we got to shower my Mother-in-law in love and celebrations as she turned 60! We also got to visit with my brother-in-law who made the trip in from out of state. We so enjoy anytime we get to spend with him, although we missed visiting with our niece.

Following the birthday party celebrations, we decided to split the drive and stop half-way to spend the night. This stop actually allowed us time so we could visit with some of B's college friends. Then, we ended the weekend by celebrating my cousin's soft opening of his Brewery. Sitting here on Sunday night to write this post actually has me laughing at how much just happened and loving the feeling of joy this weekend brought to our lives.

Every time B and I seriously discuss moving our family is our number one deterrent. If our family would move, we wouldn't even hesitate. But since we currently live only 10-15 minutes away from most of my entire family it makes it SO challenging to even consider moving. Does anyone else live far away from their family? How do you do it?

I know it would be manageable right now, but I worry about when we start to plan for having a family. I imagine it is so much difficult raising children away from the support of family. We also are constantly thinking about job opportunities that could possibly come or not come with a move. I don't think either of us is adventurous enough to make the move without secure jobs lined up.

At this point, we aren't planning to move this year or next year, since I'm halfway through my third graduate program. However; we do put our worries, fears, and hopes about the future to our faith. We know that something, whatever it is, will come when we are ready and will be perfect for us. For now, we I just need to be patient and enjoy the process.

On that same note, In today's blog post, I'm sharing one of my ALL time favorite outfits for work. Y'all requested more work wear and I'm not sure I could find a more "me" look. Every Monday the struggle begins, I'm sure I'm not alone with this, the struggle "I have NOTHING to wear to work." This is not to be confused with the "I have NOTHING to wear" on the weekends, LOL.

For work, I strive for my looks to be not only super professional, conservative, but also cute and stylish. This can definitely be hard to achieve since I work with Middle Schoolers, so I am especially careful to make sure my skirts/dresses are an appropriate length. Therefore, when I find adorable dresses, like this number from H&M and notice it comes in two colors, I buy both. Yep. So on those Monday mornings when I'm not feeling extra inspired, I grab one of my favorite dresses, pair it with a chic blazer, sweater, or denim jacket. Add some boots for your wear now looks and am good to go.

Some blazers that have recently caught my eye:

I'm looking forward to adding a blazer to my wardrobe for spring and summer. I always lean towards grabbing my denim jacket, since it goes with everything. But this spring, I'm looking to add some variety to my wardrobe. At first, I was finding the idea of a blazer so intimidating. Blazers usually make me think of corporate or job interviews. Although confession, I've NEVER worn a blazer, or suit, to a job interview. It's not really me, so I just don't do it.

However; as I've been looking for the perfect blazer, I've come to the realization that a blazer is going to be such a fun staple in my wardrobe.  Not only can I pair the perfect blazer with dresses and sandals,  blazers, like this one, are such a chic way to dress up shorts. Do you already own a blazer? How do you style it?

Be sure to tag me on Instagram anytime you wear something that was inspired by the blog!
I LOVE seeing your style!!
