easy & affordable outfit

I cannot believe how lucky we have been in New England. Despite it being alarming about the weather, I am not complaining that it was 60 degrees and sunny out. If you missed on Instagram, I was actually in the city for the end of the week and Saturday, and it was the best weather. My coworker and I were able to enjoy meals outside, including dinner & I didn't have to wear my winter jacket. Y'all this is HUGE for New England.

Then immediately upon arriving home on Saturday, B & I said a quick hello, and we proceeded to get in the car to head back towards NYC so that I could support some of my local blogger gals at their party for the Grand Opening of Evereve. While exhausting, I'm glad I got to visit with these girls, since I don't get to see them too often. I'm hoping to be able to catch up with them over the holiday season! But for now, I am choosing to focus on Halloween & my BIRTHDAY week!

The outfit.

Do you work in a casual or business professional setting? At my school, we have specific dress down days, but I don't typically participate in them. I feel like my mindset switches if I am too comfortable or casual. On Fridays when I do choose to wear jeans, I prefer to style them like above. Heels & a blazer make everything better.

I love this blazer so much; I purchased the black also. It's a great affordable investment and serves as a closet staple. I am having so much fun styling blazers in different ways this season. I also can only imagine how good the blazers will pair during the holidays.

The sunglasses. I enjoy this oversized pair SO much. I actually don't know how it happened, but I misplaced mine, so I'm going to have to repurchase them because I find myself continually wanting to grab them. The right pair of sunnies elevates any mood & is a definite confidence booster.

The heels are probably the best $30 I have ever spent. I have worn these beauties to countless weddings, many days of work, and many blog shoots. They are the perfect heel height, and they even come in a slight lower option too and do not pinch your toes. I ended up purchasing the leopard and black pair and anticipate wearing them both during the holiday season.

Lastly, the jeans. While a total splurge, these are the one pair of jeans I repeatedly grab. They are one of two pairs that I own without rips and have that totally "mom" fit. They are a high-rise, perfect for tucking fit. They are fitted in the bottom, so flattering for all, and then relaxed through the thigh and leg. I also love that they came with a frayed hem.
