Welcome to your travel guide for navigating the city of Austin, Texas from… a TOURIST. After visiting Austin for work and receiving so many wonderful recommendations I wanted to share them with y’all. The purpose of this guide is to give you quick tips about places to visit that include shopping and eating (which I did a lot of) when you only have 3 days.

Navigating the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018

Y'alllllll I am loving Texas! No surprise there. I truly believe I belong in the South, despite the heat. The food here is terrific. I am always eating and sampling new things. Last night we had authentic Venezuelan food from a food truck on Rainey Street. I was thinking of creating a post featuring a travel guide for Austin. I am by no means an expert, but I got SO many useful recommendations that I would love to share with y’all!

How to style your purchases from the #NSale for now and for later

Helloooo!! Anyone else LOVING the #NSale this year? Last year, I was pleased with my purchases as I picked up two pairs of booties and a couple of basics. This year I was even more impressed. However, I loved so many items I was worried our neighbors would start to judge us (that is if they haven't already) with all the packages I was anticipating.

As much as I enjoy fall, it's way too early to start changing over my wardrobe. However; the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is too good to pass up this year. 50% of the products featured in the sale can be worn now. Today, I am sharing how I take a basic summer outfit and transition it to fall. For this look, you will need two key pieces (both of which are part of the #NSale) the lace cami, only $22,  and the sweater jacket, $50 during the sale.

Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 First Impressions

It's that time of year y'all....
The NORDSTROM ANNIVERSARY SALE is live!
I actually braved the crowds and ventured into a Nordstrom for the first time ever during the sale and truth be told... it was not worth it. I much prefer taking my time to look at the sale items online, read the descriptions, and then make a decision. Also Nordstrom is SO great, they offer free shipping and returns. This way if I am in-between sizes I always order both (items go quickly during the sale) and return one later. I should have a big package arriving tomorrow and I've begged B to take a bunch of photos so I can show y'all how I plan to style the items now & later, but for now I'm sharing my first impression favorite items!

updating the basic black & white outfit

There's nothing better (slight exaggeration, I know) than finding a dress that fits all the immediate requirements: under $50, modest cuts, and is SUPER cute! I first saw this dress online and was instantly love at first sight. I knew I had to have it. Being tall, with long legs I always need to concerned about the length of the dress to ensure it would be appropriate for work. Not to worry ladies, this dress fits true to size (TTS) and is going to be a classic & repeat for sure. Be sure to get yours now before it sells out--> link here.

One of the things I am working on throughout the year is refining my style. I'm entirely behind the less is more, and while I may own a lot of shoes, I'm thoughtful about every purchase. With that being said, I firmly believe a girl can never have enough dresses.  I'm not referring to dresses for formal occasions, which are usually a one-time, two-occasions option if you are lucky. I'm talking about everyday classic dresses, like the one pictured, obviously. A chic dress is the easiest way to mix up your accessories and look polished. Plus it's a cost-friendly option, as you only need to purchase one item to update and refresh your wardrobe.
