February Instagram Round-Up & Best Selling Items

Hello there! I've got news!!!

I will be at the Westfarms Mall (located at 1500 New Britain Ave, West Hartford)
This Sunday, March 2019 for a PRIVATE Shopping event with yours truly! I would LOVE for y'all to come if you can make it. It means the world to me that Y'all look at my posts for style inspiration and I would love to meet to be able to meet & shop with YOU!

The event will take place from 9-11am... this is before the mall even opens! It ensures that you will have the stores and my full attention. There will be snacks, music, styling, and shopping of course. This will be my third event with Loft at Westfarms and I can't tell you how much fun I have.

I know we have been lucky, and have seen only a little snow, but I'm done with it now...it's March and I am ready for spring. My cousin starts baseball outside in just two weeks. Let's hope this Monday was the last of the cold & snow. And on that note, come and shop for spring with me this Sunday. I look forward to hopefully seeing you then!

Alright, now let's get to Roses and Rain Boots' February in Review.

Your top 5 most loved Instagram posts were as follows:

I am so thrilled to see that this post was February's most liked, commented on, and saved picture. All of the love was for good reason too. This is one of my go-to looks. It's warm, practical, and stylish.

Thank you guys for loving not only me but B too. Social media can be such a powerful and influential place. It can inspire and lift you up, but it can also tear you down. I am so grateful that every time I share something, especially something personal like a bit of my life with B Y'all are just the sweetest and so supportive. You have helped this platform to be a safe place for all!

This is probably one of my favorite looks. It definitely feels a bit "extra" but I'm here for it. One of the reasons I love having a blog is that I can take fashion risks and encourage all of you to find what sings to your heart, even if that means being a bit extra every now & again.  See full post here.

I wasn't sure how I felt about the grey denim trend, but I'm here for it. I'm quickly seeing how well it pairs with all my favorite neutral pieces. It also makes for an alternative to jeans on casual Friday's at work. This look actually made the blog back earlier in February, where I shared tips for creating a capsule wardrobe, check out that post here.

I love this photo because it captures a lot of my personality. I'm known by my friends for being high energy. I also love this photo because it was a throwback from our first wedding anniversary when we spent the weekend in Newport.

Your top 5 most loved & purchased items in February were as follows:

Slip-On Sneaker. Y'all... YESSSS. These shoes are gold. They are my version of sneakers. They are perfect for popping on and heading to the gym. They are also super cute paired with leggings or jeans for a comfortable, but chic weekend look. Just an FYI, the leopard print is also amazing. And I'm pretty sure you need them too (they are also slightly cheaper, woohoo! win. win.)

Clinique Moisture Surge. I've mentioned that I've been having problems with my skin and this moisturizer is saving me. I have SUPER sensitive skin. And every time I use a Clinique product I'm just blown away with how quickly my skin positively reacts to this. This moisturizer is super gentle and effective. It is so lightweight that I can apply it in the morning and easily wear with makeup. Disclaimer, the scent is a little unique at first application. In my opinion, it smells super clean, but it doesn't last long.

Heart Sweater. I'm so happy Y'all have been loving the Amazon finds. This sweater was such a cute find. Perfect for the holidays. It also will be super cute paired with shorts, once we can actually transition to spring and shorts.

Fine-knit Sweater. I love the detail on this sweater. The stripe just adds that extra something. It's only $20 comes in a variety of colors and is the perfect transitional piece. Pair with a skirt for a more feminine look. Also, this sweater will be coming to the blog & IG in March and I anticipate it will also be a best seller, so be sure to order yours now.

Free People Thermal. Free people items are my weakness. Every once in a while they bring out an item that is just worth it. This thermal is one of them. Although a bit more pricy than the top-selling items, this shirt is made of quality to last. I own the light blue and pink and have been debating about the cream. It pairs great with jeans but is also perfect to layer when heading to the gym as it covers both the front & back. It is currently on sale and offered in different colors at Macys and Nordstrom.

Lastly, I had to add this Amazon find. You never know what you are going to get with Amazon but this was a keeper. I must order 10 things for Amazon only to find one to share, but it is worth it. This top is actually the prettiest blush thermal. It appears tan online, but I'm very pleased with the look of it. It's my go-to item to pair with loungewear at home. It's a great basic that is under $25.
