What to wear for Easter Brunch

Happy Good Friday everyone! Today's post is all about Easter brunch with the family.

I am actually an extremely family-oriented person. And so is my boyfriend, which makes it super great on Friday nights when we go to my parents for dinner or on Sunday's when the whole family gathers for some random celebration, basically an excuse to get the gang together. But I LOVE it. I look forward to these events because I truly enjoy spending time with my family. I am so lucky to have such wonderful and supportive people in my life. I am blessed. I am also blessed for another reason, my boyfriend's family is equally as amazing! My only complaint is that I wish they lived closer. But luckily we are about to spend the long weekend with them and we get to meet his new niece- I am so excited.

Naturally I am always a bit picky about what to wear on holidays but I am even more particular when it comes to family events with his family! I obviously want to look my best. I love this outfit because there are so many easy changes you can make to fit the environment or your own style. For example, if your family is into big easter egg hunts heels are not going to work, so opt for boots. The skirt will still provide an elegant and romantic look.

When planning an outfit I always factor in layers because the weather can be so unpredictable. This year, I know we will be going outside for an egg hunt and my cream colored faux leather jacket  is the perfect fix for extra warmth.

For jewelry I tend to keep it simple and pick only my few favorite pieces. Because these Kendra Scott earrings are a stand-alone piece I opted to go without a necklace since this delicate blouse has the bow accent.

Since I knew I was going to be having some exposed skin I dabbed on a little self-tanner prior too. This helps to take away that stark white appearance of my skin tone. Over the past few years I have become all about safe sun exposure. I wasn't always this way. In college I constantly craved that immediate bronze color and didn't worry about long term effects on my skin.  I now realize that with a good sunscreen 30SPF and a good self-tanner I can create that healthy summer glow.

What are your plans for Easter? Are you going to Brunch or dinner with the family? Do you alternate holiday's with your Signifcant other's family? I'd love to hear from you! PS: Have a wonderful Easter and enjoy this time with your loved ones.
                                                                                       xoxo, Lo

  6. Any hunter who has been screwed over thanks to awful hunting boots knows how hopeless that experience can be. Perused on to take in more about discovering great hunting boots which likewise shield your lower legs from venomous snake nibbles.
