Happy Tuesday lovelies! I am SO thrown off with my days of the week lately. I couldn't believe yesterday was Monday (and I didn't have my post ready). The weekend got away from me, mainly because I was busy having fun & visiting with friends. On Friday after work, my boyfriend and I braved the traffic (literally we left at 5:30pm, rush hour) to make the three hour trip down to New Jersey. Luckily, we didn't hit any traffic and made it there by 9:00pm after we stopped at Target. I told y'all I love that store! The weekend full of laughs, games and food. How was your #MDW (Translation: Memorial Day Weekend)?!
So if you follow me on Instagram than you know all about my latest addiction to anything blue & green lately. The colors are just so fun and bright, the perfect way to get you ready for summer. Alright so let's get to it, how did I take this shirt from day to night? For starters I love these floral pants from J.Crew Factory (old) so naturally I wanted them to be the center of attention because for me these are the coolest! To top off this look for work I grabbed this vibrant blue shirt and white cardigan. Have I mentioned how much I adore these sweaters? They are seriously the best (and are constantly on repeat). The J.Crew "Clare" cardigans are light weight and great lasting quality. Plus, you can get them on sale at the outlets factory store for about $20 right now! I'm pretty sure I own 10 of them, I highly recommend them. Now let's talk about this shirt, I LOVE clothing that serves for multiple purposes and this shirt does just that. It's conservative enough and creates a polished look at the office when topped with a cardigan. And later, without the sweater the top has just the right amount of "sexy" to take this look from day to a night out. Lastly, to make the outfit even more "going out" approved, I swapped my Keds for my favorite preppy girl summer essentials: Jack Rogers. Currently on my Playlist: "Cheerleader" by Pentatonic
Current Summer Read: Bossypants (can you tell it is the end of the school year? I barely have time to myself) I'm finally going to be finishing this book and wondering if y'all have started it and in case you're on the fence about it I wanted to share this quote from the book to get ya hooked:
