transitional items you need to take your wardrobe from winter to spring
Just recently, B and I went on a little weekend getaway with the family in Vermont.
It was surprisingly unseasonably warm
that weekend and due to the lack of snow and icy conditions. As a result, we opted out of
skiing and instead, spent the day playing ice hockey without skates and sticks.
Everyone in the house was out on the ice in their snow boots using a broom
or mop as their stick. Believe it or not the game got pretty intense! Luckily
for me, I only had to play goalie and there were plenty of people to alternate
throughout the game with. Although, I enjoy skiing, and ice skating, I’m not
typically “a winter outdoorsy”
person. I don’t really enjoy being cold and I find all the layers to be a bit
bulky. However; I do love & value family
time.
What's your favorite thing to do with your family?
Today’s Style tip: One of my favorite ways to
transition from winter to spring is with Over the Knee boots. Do not be fooled,
these boots are not just for winter! To make this look more seasonally
appropriate, pair them with a shorter skirt and opt to go without tights! If
you are worried about being cold, a classic cream or camel turtleneck sweater is one
of the staples in my closet and it is great for staying warm.
Hello Lovely, thanks for stopping in and checking out my blog! My style tends to be classic and preppy with a mix of trendy pieces. I am a school teacher so my wardrobe is modest and practical! Great for the typical working girl.
