5 simple & easy steps to support your friend who BLOGS

So your friend has a blog, now what?!

If you are reading this then OBVIOUSLY, you  know I have a blog. And many of my friends feel the same way. "Yes, Lauren, we know you have a blog, but now what..." I am constantly worrying about 'over posting' or bothering my friends so I figured I would help everyone out by writing this post.

It wasn't until about two weeks into blogging when some friends I met through my fiancĂ© (now husband) brought up my blog. It was one of my first times talking about it in a social setting and these girls made my day. For starters they said, "We love your blog. Now tell us how do you shoot all those photos?" This was my first encounter breaking the news that NO I do not and never will wake up extra early to take blog photos in the morning at 5am before work. I save photo shoots for the weekend. Then I was able to ask the question "Am I posting TOO much on Instagram?!" This is when I was pleasantly surprised when they said "No, not enough!" This. Seriously. Made. My. Day. It gave me the confidence and encouragement I needed to consistently post and promote my blog. Thanks ladies for this advice you helped me more than you may have realized. Now who knows if they still feel this way, but these comments mean more to your blogger  friends then you realize, so let's get to it.

5 SIMPLE & EASY steps to support your friend who blogs:

1. Follow. The first step is to follow the blog! It is so easy to hit that tiny "follow" button on Instagram and other social media accounts. So if you like what you see then hit follow & engage.

2. Likes.
No one cares if you like every single post. Actually us bloggers prefer it if you do! We LOVE it. Likes also let me know what content y'all like and what to keep generating.

3. Engagement! I LOVE when my friends comment on my blog & social media accounts. The comments literally make my day. I read & try to respond to every single comment so I get especially excited when my friends leave me some love.

4. Affiliate links. If you see something you like on the blog, purchase it using the links here! I make a small profit on each purchase, which also helps with brand collaborations, etc. making new content possible.

5. Encourage & Support. I'm always blown away by my friends and family's support for my blog. They are constantly asking me about it and sharing their favorite posts. It can be difficult to put yourself out there, so I truly appreciate and am so grateful for all the support!
