perseverance and endurance: The Book of Romans

One of the things I have come into as an adult is really understanding and appreciating my faith. For starters, God brought B and I together. Additionally, it has helped me find new friends who share similar beliefs. Over the weekend, one of my dear friends invited me to participate in a weekend session focused around: Discipleship. This was my first experience participating in any sort of in-person church session and I am so grateful for the experience. I loved meeting & hearing from people who also share my love and passion for pursuing and living a life for the Lord. I can't wait for the next one!

This particular session focused on: perseverance and endurance. No matter your religion or beliefs, everyone can agree that life requires both. During the presentation, the speaker actually referenced the famous quote from the second world war 'Keep calm & carry on,' where the people of England were encouraged to accept what is and carry on with their daily lives. The speaker reminded listeners that with every life struggle we have a choice

The choice to either be destroyed by it or to embrace the Holy Spirit and be strengthened from it. Although I may not always understand the obstacles we or loved ones are faced with, I must accept that God has a plan. Throughout my life, I have had the pleasure of being surrounded by some many amazing people who have constantly showed me how to take struggles (most of which seem unfair) and grow from it.
