Everything. I mean EVERYTHING is 40% off right now. It's the perfect opportunity to shop and update your wardrobe for spring.

I get so many requests for work wear, which is totally my love language for fashion. I eat, live and breathe the daily work grind, not 9-5, but similar at 7:30- 3:00pm. Working in education, jeans are just not a choice or option for work (for me). I personally want to set an example for my students and I find that dressing professionally really sets a positive tone. It sounds silly but research supports that students who dress up for tests vs the alternative of the comfortable sweatpants actually do better.
With that said, I've tried to pick pieces that work for both work and weekend/casual wear, just by mixing and matching.

 There are SO many good items to choose from. Today's post is just sharing some of my favorites that my local store had in stock. So grab your cup of coffee, settle in, and let's get started.

This skirt does run a tad big, my store only had an XS (which would be my typical size, but I actually need to size down). On my Instagram, I shared how to style this skirt four different ways, just by changing the top. Think about all the possibilities of looks you can create simply by changing the accessories or shoes.

Striped top (c/o Loft) Y'all this has to be the world's sweetest most basic top everyone needs. It was also the top that B told me looked pretty on, so it is now officially my favorite top. It has buttons down the back, which add just enough detail to make it stand alone. Plus, thinking ahead, it has cap sleeves so it will be great for those hot summer days when you don't want a sweater.


High Rise Denim (c/o Loft). I am all about dark denim.  This is that basic pair everyone needs in their wardrobe. It's a great foundational piece for creating a capsule wardrobe. This style, in particular, is perfect for tucking in boots, pairs well with sneakers, and looks polished for a casual Friday at the office.

This Lou& Grey Sweatshirt. This is my first Lou & Grey item and I'm glad it was. It is so comfortable and so versatile. I did size up to a small for a slightly more relaxed fit and love it.

White frayed bottom denim. These jeans are my all time FAVORITE pair of white denim. I purchased these last year and was SO excited to see that they re-released them this spring. If you are going to purchase one item, this should be it.

Pink Blazer. Oh my goodness, blazers are blowing up the fashion world right now and I must admit I've been a bit reluctant to the trend. I'm not really a fan of the shoulder pads in most blazers, but these are so subtle that I actually wasn't even sure if it had shoulder pads. Additionally, I always struggle to find blazers with sleeves that are long enough. The regular fit was just barely long enough, but not to fear, they also offer petite and TALL online! woohoo!

Pink dot blouse. Alright, this top is also just so sweet. It's one of those tops that instantly caught my attention. It's super feminine and I love the subtle dot detailing.

Denim Jacket. This jacket was everyone's most LOVED item that I shared on Instagram. It fits SO well. I love the length and wash.

Green Sweater. This top is so lightweight and the perfect color for brightening up your wardrobe for spring. It fits TTS and is a great layering basic for building that capsule wardrobe for spring.
